More Than 220 Attend Beacham & Company Grand Opening
ATLANTA – More than 220 of Buckhead’s top real estate agents, members of the news media and clients and friends of Beacham & Company, REALTORS® attended the firm’s grand opening party last night.
The official debut of Beacham & Company’s new office drew rave reviews from attendees who marveled at the decidedly atypical real estate office feel. One partygoer, Atlanta architect Yong Pak, called the new office “inspiring” and “well-conceived” because “the interior design capitalizes on the most important features of the space,” such as the 30-foot ceilings and 18-foot high Palladian-style windows.
“This office is so wonderfully different than any other I have seen in Atlanta,” Pak said. “The use of glass throughout the office to enhance the natural light from the Palladian windows is exceptional. The space has tremendous lines of sight that add interest and draw your eye.”
Jeffrey McQuithy, another party guest who is owner of Vis – A – Vis hair salon in the Buckhead Village, called the new Beacham office “real estate chic,” something you might expect to find in New York or Los Angeles, not Atlanta.
“This space definitely takes real estate in Buckhead to another level,” McQuithy said. “It’s modern without being too contemporary and its warm without being too traditional. It’s Richard Meier meets Martha Stewart.”
Beacham & Company founder Glennis Beacham said the buildout of the space was driven by its architectural environment.
“There was no way we were going to cover up the beautiful Palladian windows in this space with a drop ceiling,” Beacham said. “The result is this very open, airy space.”
Beacham applauded Leonard Design Group of Fayetteville, Ga. for recommending such unique interior design features as the glass and brushed chrome office partitions and the oval-shaped lobby area which is dominated by a glass waterfall feature with the Beacham logo.
Beacham also complimented Dale Hunter, the project superintendent for general contractor Humphries and Company, and decorator Anne Williams, who provided Venetian plaster walls and supervision of decorative selections and art. All photographic art was provided by Blayne Beacham, daughter of Glennis Beacham. The custom artwork was provided by Myott Studios.
Beacham & Company occupies nearly 8,000 square feet of retail office space on the ground floor of the recently completed Medici building at the Piazza at Paces on Northside Parkway. The company moved into the space on Feb. 4. The Piazza at Paces is located just north of the intersection of West Paces Ferry Road and I-75 in Buckhead.
